Hammonds’ ODV® is a unique vehicle that can move in every direction, including sideways, and the Company has multiple U.S. and foreign patents that cover its use as an aircraft that can tow tractors, forklifts, high-capacity pallet jacks, people movers, security vehicles, highway mowing machines and terminal freight tractors.

Earlier this week Carl Hammonds announced receipt of an initial purchase order from The Boeing Company (NYSE:BA) for four G-90 Series Omni Directional Vehicles (ODV®). The vehicles have a 90,000-pound towing capacity and will be utilized to handle materials and fixtures supporting the assembly of Boeing’s new 787 Dreamliner. The Hammonds’ ODV® has also been selected by both the United States Air Force and Army to position materials and aircraft.
While Hammonds offer a unique towing vehicle, the company still has many competitors within in the industry. One of which includes the Hydra-Tug manufactured by Lynco Tugger Corporation. According to Ground Support Word online publication, the Hydra-Tug Tractor reliability and maneuverability surpasses that of all other tow tractors.
