Golden Hope Mines Ltd. reported that the company has completed its 2011 exploration program at its mining properties in Canada, which the company believes may be prospective for gold.
Golden Hope Mines Ltd. conducted the exploratory program at the Bellechasse gold project in Southeastern Quebec from November 2010 through February 2011. The program consisted of 3,455 meters of drilling in eleven separate holes at the site.
Golden Hope Mines Ltd. reported that visible gold was seen in the quartz veined diorite present in nine of the exploratory holes. The company was testing the Timmins One, Timmins Two and Ascot gold zones.
Golden Hope Mines Ltd. said that samples from the site will be sent to the Activation Laboratories Limited in Ontario for assay testing. The laboratory will conduct several different tests including the Golden Hope procedure. This procedure is used when visible gold is seen and involves pulverizing and sieving the sample.
Golden Hope Mines Ltd. also reported further assay results of the 2010 exploration program at the Bellechasse gold project. The company reported that 55% of the nine holes drilled showed visible gold and may contain gold in commercial quantities.
