Gold Canyon Resources Inc. (GCU.V) is Finding all that Glitters

Trading on the TSX-Venture Exchange in Toronto, Gold Canyon Resources Inc. acquires and explores for mineral and precious metal properties. Their headquarters are in Vancouver, British Columbia and they are part of the Gallium and Gold Exploration industry. They control a 100-percent interest in the Springpole Gold-Horseshoe Island Gold Platinum, Palladium Project. They also own a 100 percent interest in the Bear Head Uranium Project, which is next to their Favourable Lake Poly-metallic property. This property is currently under option to Shoreham Resources Inc.

The company also controls a 100-percent interest in the Cordero Gallium Project. This project is in Humboldt County, Nevada, and control of it is through the company’s wholly owned American subsidiary, Gold Canyon Resources USA Inc. The Cordero Gallium Project covers approximately 1,900 acres, and is approximately 7 miles southwest of the town of McDermitt.

Gold Canyon’s Springpole Gold Project is in the Red Lake Mining District of Ontario, Canada. It is approximately 70 miles east northeast of the Town of Red Lake. This project consists of approximately 20,000 acres. The Horseshoe Island Gold Project covers 3,160 acres. It is five miles west of the Springpole Core Area. Additional staking linked the Horseshoe Island and Springpole properties. This staking created an area with a total size of 28,935 acres.

The company’s Bear Head Uranium Project is located on land where the company has an option to acquire 30 claims covering approximately 19,200 acres in the Favourable Lake Area of northwestern Ontario. This project targets uranium potential next to the Favourable Lake Polymetallic property. The company acquired their 100-percent interest in the Favourable Lake Polymetallic Project in August 2005. It is a silver-gold-base metal property. The property is approximately 120 miles north of Red Lake, Ontario. It consists of 268 individual claim units covering approximately 10,590 acres. It rests in the highly mineralized Favourable Lake Greenstone Belt.

On June 10, 2008, Gold Canyon Resources Inc. announced the start of the 2008 exploration field season at the Horseshoe Island property. Line-cutting and Mobile Metal Ion (MMI) soil geochemistry sampling continues on the property. MMI soil surveys were performed last year, and numerous and significant historic gold-in-rock assays were reported in the area of the surveys as announced by the company on May 27, 2008. This summer’s program is expanding the MMI coverage on the property. It will follow-up any new zones with prospecting, and channel sampling.

Gold Canyon Resources Inc. knows that all that glitters isn’t gold. However, they are doing the acquiring and exploring necessary to ensure that what is gold comes into their fold, in the areas where they have rights. Their desire is to add a shine to their bottom line and that of their shareholders as well.
