Foundry Networks®, Inc. (FDRY) Announces Integration with IBM Software for Foundry Products

Foundry Networks®, Inc. (FDRY) provides enterprise and service-provider switching, routing, security, and application traffic management solutions. These solutions include edge and backbone Ethernet switches, Web and content-aware application switches, network-wide security solutions, wireless LAN and access points, wide-area access routers and Internet-provider edge and service-provider core MPLS routers. Based in Santa Clara, California, the company, through its Partner Connection Program, has resellers in the Asia Pacific, Caribbean, Europe, Latin America, Middle East, and the U.S.

Foundry announced the integration with IBM Tivoli Netcool software for customers using Foundry ® switching and routing products. This integration facilitates simplified operations for Foundry customers using IBM Tivoli Netcool to help improve business efficiency. This technology partnership allows the software to manage Foundry switches and routers in networks, element/network management systems and applications.

Some of the benefits to this integration include automated deduplication of events and alarms in the software and automated correlation of problem/resolution events in a network. “This newly formed alliance enables integration of a variety of Foundry devices with the real-time event- and fault-management solution Netcool/OMNIbus,” stated Al Zollar, general manager of Tivoli Software, IBM. “The ease with which we integrated Foundry’s products with Netcool/OMNIbus is testament to their consistent management framework that is implemented across their entire product portfolio.”
