Diversified media company Fortune Market Media Inc. (Pink Sheets: FTMM) today announced it has initiated the acquisition of Skee.TV, the first daily urban lifestyle show featuring celebrity interviews and music videos, available on most mobile phone providers and free to anyone online.
“We are very excited to have Skee.TV in our media arsenal and I plan on giving a lot of energy and effort in putting Skee.TV at the forefront of our properties. This addition gives us access to today’s most exciting demographic (18-25). This group stays current on new content and new ways of receiving that content. They are the future and we will be catering to them,” Ryan Tomlinson Fortune Market’s executive vice president stated in the press release.
Established in February of 2007, and inspired by Scott “DJ Skee” Keeney, Skee.TV has attracted more than 10 million views in beta testing. Viewers have access to high-profile events, behind the scenes looks at exclusive locations, inside the studio, on set, and more. Skee.TV features celebrity interviews, product showcases, world premier music videos, etc.
DJ Skee joined Fortune Market earlier this month as senior executive of New Media. DJ Skee will lead Fortune Market’s newest Internet media project that will launch quarter two of 2008. The 100 percent acquisition is complete, as final terms have been negotiated and agreed upon. Fortune Market’s team will provide Skee.TV with the funding and structure needed to continue to build and develop the brand and awareness.
