FlexSCAN, Inc. (FXSC.OB) Has Changed its Name to Aperture Health, Inc. (APRE.OB)

From its inception, flexSCAN, Inc. has gone through many changes. The company was originally incorporated in 1991, as Fuel Corporation of America. In July of 2005, Fuel Corporation merged with FCA Acquisition Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of Fuel Corporation, and flexSCAN, Inc. Finally in September 2005, Fuel Corporation merged into flexSCAN, Inc.

At the time of the merger, flexSCAN was providing healthcare information and services, primarily high technology medical information management to the healthcare consumer, along with a unique incentive program designed to abate the rising costs of healthcare. The company has grown since then to offer more products and services.

FlexSCAN has once again undergone another change to its corporate structure and has announced the changing of its name to Aperture Health, Inc. Founder and CEO Thomas Banks felt this change was important because the company’s business model has evolved over the years. He stated, “Aperture Health reflects our company’s emphasis on providing a range of wellness services free to our members while empowering our advertisers with an unprecedented message targeting solution. With over 200 dynamic variables to select from, wellness360™ is like a camera lens enabling our clients to focus their messaging as narrowly as they wish defining their audience’s characteristics without wasting impressions or advertising dollars.”

Currently, Aperture Health offers an online wellness program free of charge in partnership with employers, counties, and hospitals through its network of thousands of insurance agents nationwide. Aperture Health’s members use the patent-pending and proprietary wellness360 Health Radar™ program to achieve and monitor progress toward their health goals, as well as staying up to date on issues related to diseases and conditions they face. Additionally, patients can upload their personal “paper” medical records from their doctors for long-term and safe storage using Aperture Personal Health Record system.

The company also recently announced that it will begin offering comprehensive genetic testing free of charge to anyone visiting the geneview website and enrolling in wellness360. Aperture Health has also launched its Emergency Medical Record service providing its members and emergency responders the ability to easily and quickly communicate key information to hospital emergency room personnel via wellness360’s Interactive Voice Response system.
