Evolution Solar Corp. markets advanced solar energy technologies and related photovoltaic technologies, equipment and next-generation appliances. The company today announced the appointment of Michael Franklin to its recently formed Solar Technology Advisory Committee (STAC), which will leverage the company’s plans to commercialize solar technologies and research market opportunities in the rapidly growing solar-powered energy industry.
Franklin is the USA consultant for Impact Hong Kong, Asia’s largest production company. He utilizes staff and offices in every major city in China, and currently sources products for AMD (NYSE: AMD), USSSA (Sporting goods) and Home Depot (NYSE: HD). The company chose Franklin for his experience in overseas markets and an established network of resources.
“I consider Franklin’s qualifications to be key for sourcing and contractual negotiations in the Asian markets,” Robert Kaapke, CEO of Evolution Solar stated in the press release. “Michael’s associative resources, located in almost every major city in China, tip the balance of supply and demand in our favor.”
For more than 10 years, Franklin has worked as a contracts negotiator, purchasing agent and consultant for U.S. companies opening their doors in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Philippines and Japan. Evolution Star is pursuing actions that boost the company’s presence in the solar panel industry.
“Evolution Solar is currently seeking additional seats on its Advisory Committee that will meet or exceed the companies’ goals and expectations on forthcoming projects,” Kaapke stated. “Our industry is experiencing tremendous growth that could outshine the oil boom.”
Franklin’s experience with the Chinese government and his services as liaison for several Chinese companies with both national and regional Chinese governments has secured him one of those seats.
