ERF Wireless (ERFB) to Broaden IP Portfolio with Third CryptoVue Patent

ERF Wireless, a leading provider of enterprise-class wireless and broadband products and services, announced this morning that its patent attorney has been notified by the U.S. Patent Office that a third patent the company had previously applied for related to the CryptoVue® encrypted security device has been approved. A patent will be issued as soon as the proper forms are submitted.

“We continue to be very pleased to report to our shareholders that now three of the patent applications submitted more than three years ago in connection with our CryptoVue security appliance product have reached the end of the patent process and that this third patent will be formally issued to ERF Wireless Inc. in the very near future,” stated Dr. H. Dean Cubley, CEO of ERF Wireless. “This is particularly satisfying since we have continued to work over the past year to upgrade both the software and hardware capabilities of our CryptoVue product in preparation for its introduction into a number of new markets as well as to broaden its application in bank networks.”

“We are currently readying a whole new generation of CryptoVue devices to begin upgrading some of our long-term customers,” he continued. “Having multiple patents to broaden our intellectual property protection, newly enhanced security software, and a more versatile and robust hardware platform should open up many new market opportunities in some of our other vertical markets for an already respected and proven product.”

The company also stated today that other CryptoVue patent applications covering different functions and features are under review.
