Empire Film Group announced today that it has signed a joint venture agreement with Tayrona Entertainment and CEO James Ordonez to produce together “Havana Heat” and other film products. The President of Empire stated, “We are extremely pleased to partner with a major creative force in the world of international entertainment production.”
James Ordonez and his team have had success filming around the world. Their productions include: ‘The Mission’ starring Robert de Niro and Jeremy Irons, ‘Cobra Verde’ directed by Werner Herzog, ‘Chronicle of a Foretold Death’ directed by Francesco Rossi, ‘Nostromo’ starring Albert Finney and Colin Firth, ‘Proof of Life’ starring Russell Crowe and Meg Ryan, ‘The Dancer Upstairs’ directed by John Malkovich, ‘Reversal of Love’ distributed by MGM, and the recently released ‘Love in the Time of Cholera’ directed by Mike Newell.
Yesterday the Company also published a press release announcing that it has begun pre-production on “New Models of the World,” which is a television special focused on discovering the world’s next supermodel. Previous editions of the program have been aired on dozens of international channels including Sky Network, Human TV China, Fashion TV Network, RBSTV Brazil, and the national networks of participating countries.
The CEO of Empire, Dean Hamilton Bornstein, stated, “2008 will be a milestone year for ‘New Models of the World’ which will celebrate the 20th Anniversary broadcast by featuring original and archive content from international locations such as The United States, Venezuela, Panama, Mexico, Chile, Peru, Ecuador and Puerto Rico among others. With previous sponsors such as Revlon, Coca-Cola, Procter & Gamble and American Airlines and prizes including a modeling contract with a major international modeling agency, the 20th annual 2008 ‘New Models of the World’ broadcast will be the best show yet.”
