eTech, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ecotality (OTCBB: ETLY), operates out of Phoenix, Arizona. The company was formed in 1996 to develop advanced transportations systems for battery electric vehicles with hydrogen technologies. The eTech staff is made up of 15 technical and professional personnel with a combination of more than 100 years work experience and 30 years specifically dedicated to electric vehicles and vehicle infrastructure.
eTech works in collaboration with Electric Transportation Applications (ETA), a sister company incorporated in 1989, to provide technical support and testing services for the electric vehicle industry. Together, the companies conduct research focused on battery fast charging and fast charge algorithms. Years of research has resulted in eTec’s development of the eTec SuperChargeT algorithm, in which it holds exclusive patent rights to use eTech SuperChargeT in its products. This results in less heat generation and longer battery life than any other fast charge algorithm.
The company’s eTec SuperChargeT charging systems was designed specifically for airport ground support equipment operation and vehicle operation, and is also applicable to marine and transit systems.
eTec’s distribution pipeline includes several lines of level two chargers, installation of these chargers, and is an authorized installer for DaimerChrysler and Ford Motor Company products. In addition, eTec offers engineering and construction services.
