ECOtality, Inc. (OTCBB: ETLY) is a renewable energy company focused on the acquisition and commercialization of clean electric technologies to address global energy challenges. Hydrality, the company’s patented, portable technology, was created to address the commercialization issue of hydrogen fuel cell technology.
The process is relatively simple: the device creates hydrogen fuel on demand by using magnesium and water as fuel – the hydrogen is then used in a hydrogen fuel cell to produce electricity with the ability to power motors in buses, cars, trains, boats, trucks, and residential or commercial establishments. Hydrality boasts many advantages over petroleum – running on water and magnesium, Hydrality emits no exhaust other than steam, creates no pollution, is recyclable, is not limited by geographical location, and is more pocket-book friendly.
The company recently announced it has entered into a strategic alliance with National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) and the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) to develop, build and patent a prototype 7 and 65 kilowatt Hydrality.
