Dynamotive Energy Systems Inc. (DYMTF.OB) Increases Throughput of Cellulose Based Industrial Heating Fuel #2 Substitute, New BioChar Fertilizer Receives Solid Test Use Results

In a world looking for clean energy solutions, there are new technologies, introductory technologies and “sanctioned” technologies. Generally, one might call them; “out there,” “show-me” and commercialized. One way or another, each area is coming whether the market likes it or not. But, for the company with the product, there is the old “prove it” portion of the equation. Prove to me that your product will make my business or home more efficient. In a general sense, this is unfortunate because a company cannot prove it until they can manufacture the product. If a company can make it through its show-me trials, a solid potential for profit will exist in a wide open marketplace.

Dynamotive Energy Systems Inc., a producer of cellulose based recycled energy products, works to offer new industrial fuel substitutes and agricultural fertilizers. From a general perspective, the company generates revenue from licensing fees and royalties by recycles industrial cellulose (non-food bio-mass) products into biofuel – a substitute for industrial heating oil #2 – and associated products such as agricultural fertilizer and cogeneration. The company currently is benefiting from 2.5 megawatts of power derived from the manufacturing process. Future plans for added capacity are underway in this area and close to completion.

The company has been making great strides with its business plan, as existing and potentially new customers find the benefit of this new, cost-effective fuel substitute. The company has two plants up and running to provide early converters adequate supplies of the new fuel. Introduction of the company’s new BioChar fertilizer product is nearing acceptance from test cases.

Although the company has its infrastructure in place and running, there are still challenges ahead. Where solar and wind power are very clean – with outputs readily understandable – cellulose based biomass industrial fuels have yet to be fully tested in several ways. Current operations indicate scalability is very doable, right along with the satisfaction that customers are finding with the end-product. There is little doubt that the process and product will be a solid addition to the environmental power supply issues facing the world today.

Understanding the process and how it affects equipment on a day-to-day basis however, is not fully understood at this point. Generally, this means that start-up and shut-down procedures for maintenance need more understanding; equipment bottlenecks and stress points need more understanding; and market education needs work. Fortunately for Dynamotive Energy Solutions, they have a solid product that will aid industries in producing more efficiently and ecologically. All that is needed is a bit of time and experience with the product for a large profit center to form.
