Cyclone Power up on News of Engine Advancements

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. (July 30, 2007) – Share prices for alternative power expert Cyclone Power Technologies (Pink Sheets: CYPW) rose an impressive 16 percent on market open today, thanks to the news that the company has made “material advancements” on its patent-pending Green Revolution Engine.

Wilson McQueen, a spokesman for the company, was thrilled to talk about his company’s engine.

“We’ve got an engine that’s got all sorts of benefits and none of the drawbacks of the internal combustion engine,” McQueen told MN1. “This external combustion engine … number one, it’ll run on any fuel. I’m talking about any liquid fuel, I’m talking about gaseous fuels, and I’m also talking about certain solid fuels. It’s a BTU-driven engine; in other words, if you can light something on fire and produce heat, this engine will run off of it.”

According to the company’s statement, the Cyclone condenser has a “cylindrical design with over four times the surface space of a radiator found on a comparable internal combustion engine” which is “critical for the operation of the Green Revolution Engine which traps and recycles up to 30 percent of its own heat,” making it more efficient at burning almost any fuel type, including but not limited to gasoline, diesel, ethanol and propane.

Because of these changes, Cyclone Power expects that its Green Revolution Engine will cost less to manufacture, less to operate, and less to maintain that traditional internal combustion engines. However, the company claims that it is “highly scalable” and “sufficiently powerful for applications ranging from lawn equipment and small home generators.”

“Because it doesn’t run at the extreme temperatures that occur within the internal combustion engine … it does not produce any of the harmful gases like carbon monoxide, nitrous oxide, all that particulate matter, and the benzopyrene that diesel produces,” McQueen said. “So we have all sorts of environmental benefits with that. Now the engine, besides being multifuel and besides the very low emissions, doesn’t have any oil in the system whatsoever. It’s water-lubricated; the whole working fluid is de-ionized water, so there’s no oil in there.”

Still, McQueen was careful to give credit where credit was due. He told MN1 how the engine was the brainchild of Cyclone Power’s president and CEO, Harry Schoell.

“One man invented the whole thing,” McQueen said. “[Harry Schoell] is a genius. He got his first patent when he was 18 years old. His father was an inventor, his grandfather was an inventor, and he’s an inventor. Being a marine architect, he’s very familiar with water-lubricated bearings, and he’s also been into steam engines for many, many years. He realized the downfall of the steam engine was that it was oil lubricated.”
