Cyclone Power Technologies’ Green Revolution Engine is a serious step in the right direction. The company describes it as a highly advanced, external combustion engine with several advantages over traditional internal combustion mechanisms. Cyclone’s engine boasts an external combustion chamber that heats a de-ionized water solution, which in turn will expand to move a turbine, or a set of pistons. Because combustion is achieved outside of the closed system, the Green Revolution Engine can operate on virtually any type of fuel. It is no surprise that Cyclone chose to use the word ‘revolution’ in the product’s title.
Recent successful tests of the award-winning engine have led to a research and development contract with the Raytheon Company, with the intent to further subject the engine to crucial testing. With regard to the agreement, Cyclone CEO Harry Schoell stated: “This relationship provides us with an enormous opportunity to utilize our multi-fuel engine technology in exciting and important new areas. We are very pleased to be working with Raytheon on this development project.”
The agreement illustrates the enormous potential of Cyclone’s engine, and indeed, Cyclone Power itself.
