CyberDefender Corp. (CYDE.OB) Anticipates Reporting Record Results for Fourth Quarter 2009

CyberDefender Corp., an award-winning provider of PC security, antispyware/antivirus software, PC optimization, PC support, and identity theft prevention solutions, today announced preliminary unaudited sales receipts for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2009, which ended on December 31, 2009.

The company expects total unaudited cash sales receipts, a portion of which becomes deferred income on the company’s books and is recognized as revenue over the 12 to 36 month terms of each license or subscription, to grow 128% to $9.8 million for the fourth quarter, compared to $4.3 million in the same quarter of 2008 and $6.7 million in the third quarter of 2009. This brings the expected total unaudited cash sales receipts to $29 million for the full year 2009, which represents 233% growth when compared to the $8.7 million in full year cash sales receipts recorded in 2008.

“The record sales receipts expected for the quarter were driven by strong growth in new customers, in particular across our anti-malware software products, as well as continued demand for our tech support service,” stated CyberDefender CFO, Kevin Harris. “We are pleased to close 2009 with significant growth in cash receipts on both a year-over-year and sequential basis. This is our seventh consecutive quarter of improving comparable sales receipts,” concluded Harris.

In addition, CyberDefender reminded investors of its presentation today at the ICR XChange Conference scheduled for 1:50 p.m. PT (4:50 p.m. ET). The company will host a live webcast of the conference presentation which can be accessed from the events section of the company’s website www.cyberdefendercorp.com.
