Crimson Exploration Inc. (CXPO) Updates Oil and Gas Operations in Texas

Crimson Exploration Inc. reported an update on its oil and gas operations in the United States. The company is active in several onshore basins in Texas, where it is developing various plays including the Bossier, Haynesville Shale and Cook Mountain formations.

In Texas, Crimson Exploration Inc. is active at the Fairway Farms Prospect area in San Augustine County. The company reported the completion of a well into the Bossier formation with an initial production rate of 10 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. This was the first well for the company at Fairway Farms.

Crimson Exploration Inc. reported that it has finished drilling a well at the Bruin Prospect area in Texas. This well is targeting the Haynesville Shale and is currently undergoing completion operations.

Crimson Exploration Inc. also recently finished drilling a Bossier well at the Tiger Prospect area. This well is undergoing completion operations at the current time. The Tiger Prospect area is located in Sabine County, Texas.

Crimson Exploration Inc. reported that a well drilled in Liberty County, Texas, found ninety feet of gross pay in the Cook Mountain formation. The well is scheduled for completion operations that will begin in March 2011.
