Cord Blood America, Inc. (CBAI.OB) continues to be following a rapid expansion business model. The Company is experiencing rapid growth in its first three years of operation. The Company finds itself in a growth industry. In 2003, only five percent of the four million women in the U.S> giving birth knew about perserving their umbilical cord blood and two percent of these took advantage of this life saving procedure.
CBAI recently completed the acquisition of CorCell, Inc. of Philadelphia, PA., the fourth largest umbilical cord blood bank in America. In February, 2007 the Company secured $2M in capital, chosing to complete the funding as a debt placement to minimize dilution.
