Cord Blood America Inc. (CBAI.OB) – Cord Blood Offers Life Saving Potential

“I have never experienced greater satisfaction than the gift of preserving my
granddaughter’s cord blood stem cells.” This quote was taken from Greg Smith, CEO of Mountain State Blue Cross Blue Shield, after taking his granddaughter, Gracie, to a Cord Blood America company, CorCell, to store some of her umbilical cord blood.

Smith continued by saying “The thought of possibly protecting Gracie from a serious disease long after I’m gone is an incredible feeling. I am hopeful many more Blue Cross Blue Shield customers will take advantage of the discount CorCell offers our members.”

Cord Blood America Inc. was founded in Los Angeles, California in 2003 and has not only been collecting, testing and processing umbilical cords in the United States, but has also been actively engaging in advertising through print, radio and television for further support of their cause.

Matthew Schissler, the companies CEO, was recently interviewed by an international health magazine and said, “Stem cells are used today in the treatment of leukemia, breast cancer, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s Disease, aplastic anemia, sickle cell anemia, various other cancers, blood diseases, hereditary and genetic conditions and immune system disorders.” He also added the promising news that: “As stem cell transplants become routine, they may be used to fight many other cancers, viruses and genetic disorders.”

After getting word of Mr. Smith’s story, Schissler was quoted in a press release today saying, “To learn about a testimonial, such as the one from Greg Smith, tells me we are in exactly the right sector at the right time to both assist families and to provide a significant opportunity for those who invest.” Schissler is hoping that newly sparked interest from the 425,000 members on Blue Cross Blue Shield can boost enrollment in the cord blood storage program, and directly translate gains to shareholders.
