Compress Technologies announced this morning that it plans to design and evaluate a new digital filter for the latest version of FM-SCA equipment with the help of its partner, Soneticom. Soneticom develops custom or semi-custom communications products and systems for situations where the latest technology is needed.
Sineticom is a great asset to the company, because it has experience in a wide array of technology areas including multi-site, distributed network architectures and wireless communications protocols, high speed digital design, embedded telephony communications, digital signal processing and graphical user interfaces, in addition to offering many services to a broad range of customers.
The latest generation of FM-SCA broadcasts and receives 15 digital channels including 5 channels of classical and pop music plus 10 channels of simulated audio. The quality of the audio transmitted is very similar to the industry-leading MP3 format, which offers Compress Technologies great potential to revolutionize the radio industry.
