Compress Technologies announced that it is now ready to begin Phase Two of its Cable Television Bandwidth Enhancement. Harold Walker, inventor of VMSK, believes that the new modified technology, will significantly “improved performance”.
Eagle Comtronics’ testing of the Phase 1 prototype unit showed, “great promise as a data transport mechanism”. Television companies are in need of a way to expand their digital offerings without replacing their existing cables for costly fiber optics. Compress Technologies could save these companies millions of dollars.
The Phase One prototype will be redesigned with additional technology which is expected to improve the quality of the signal, and add 60 to 100 new channels to a cable network.
