Composite Technology Corporation (CPTC.OB) Announces Robert C. Rugh as Executive Vice President of Operations

Composite Technology Corporation (CPTC.OB) announced the appointment of Robert C. Rugh to Executive Vice President of Operations. Bob will be responsible for the development and execution of programs for the company’s wind turbine supply; consisting of contract manufacturing, turbine erection and commissioning, field operations and special market programs.

Mr. Rugh has a plethora of wind industry knowledge, including commercial, engineering, supply chain, manufacturing and site operations. Recently, Rugh served as the Vice President for Mitsubishi Power Systems, executing all Marketing, Sales, Engineering, and Operations measures. Prior to joining Mitsubishi, Mr. Rugh was responsible for the manufacturing of wind turbine components for GE Wind LLC.

“I am excited to join the DeWind team as the company prepares to launch its latest wind turbine product, the D8.2, into the Global market,” said Mr. Rugh. “DeWind has a proven track record, and the D8.2 will continue this momentum, while bringing new design innovations to the market, providing new alternatives for customers who are seeking higher operating efficiencies and reliability in their wind turbines.”

His knowledge base and industry relationships should make a valuable contribution to our DeWind business at a time when we have begun assembly of our 60 hertz 2 megawatt D8.2 model Dewind turbine and are preparing to supply these novel turbines to the wind power industry in 2008.”
