China Electric Motor Appoints Dexter Fong as Chief Financial Officer

China Electric Motor Inc. (NASDAQ: CELM) is a China-based company that engages in the design, production, marketing and sale of micro-motor products through its subsidiary Shenzhen YPC. The company’s products are incorporated into consumer electronics, automobiles, household appliances, toys and power tools, and are sold under its “Sunna” brand name. It sells its micro-motors to customers in China, Hong Kong and Korea.

The company announced today that Heung Sang “Dexter” Fong, who has served as a director of China Electric since January 2010, has been appointed to the role of chief financial officer and corporate secretary. The CEO of China Electric, Yue Wang, commented on the appointment, “Dexter has been an integral member of our management team, and brings to the role significant financial and accounting experience as a US CPA.”

For more than a decade, Mr. Fong has served in various executive and management roles with many Chinese and China-related companies. The list of companies he has been involved with include: Apollo Solar Energy, Fuqi International, Iceberg Financial Consultants, Holley Communications, Pacific Systems Control Technology, PacificNet, Oregon Scientific, Universal Technology, Kandi Technology, Diguang International Development, Zhaoheng Hydropower and Rongfu Agriculture.
