Buffett Calls Financial Situation ‘Economic Pearl Harbor’

In his Wednesday appearance on PBS’ The Charlie Rose Show, Warren Buffett referred to the nation’s current financial struggles as an ‘economic Pearl Harbor’, also stating his hope that Congress would soon pass a ‘counterattack’ in the form of a bailout bill. Buffett, who was born during the Great Depression said, “In my adult lifetime, I don’t think I’ve ever seen people as fearful economically as they are now.” He went on to admit that when others are fearful, he tends to get greedy, and ultimately reap the benefits of a hammered-down market.
