Protection is something no one can put a price on. With everything our society has had to endure, many people feel they have nowhere to turn to in a time of need. While people scramble to find a way to protect themselves in this ever changing world, one company has answered the call. That company is Brite-Strike.

With its initial commercial launch in November of 2007, the Massachusetts-based company has taken the world by storm by creating products that allow people to protect themselves.

One of the premier products Brite-Strike has developed is called “Lightning Strike.” Lightning Strike is a state-of-the-art flashlight that includes a small, high-intensity flashing ‘strobe’ with a key chain-sized alarm that delivers a throbbing sound that momentarily distracts and disorients an attacker. Lightning Strike was designed to be small enough to be clipped to a woman’s handbag or a student’s backpack and offer an easy-to-deploy self defense weapon to protect individuals in a high risk situation.

Brite-Strike was founded by Glenn Bushee and Jon Neal, both successful and decorated police officers. These two gentlemen founded the company as a way to give back to society and help protect citizens in our ever-changing world.

When asked what effect “Lightning Strike” has had on society, Brite-Strike spokesperson Jessica Darrican said, “The biggest effect has been safety and confidence amongst our customers. Whether it be on a college campus or people coming and going from the workplace, Lightning Strike has provided all a great deal of safety and confidence.”

Statistics don’t lie. In 2005, an estimated 417,122 robbery offenses were reported in the United States. An estimated 93,934 forcible rapes were also reported to law enforcement, and there is no way to detect how many heinous crimes were never reported. Lightning Strike is legal in all 50 states and provides a way for people to take safety into their own hands.
