BioForce Nanosciences Holdings, Inc. (OTC BB: BFNH), a producer of integrated biological and mechanical systems at the micro and nano scales, announced on Thursday that Kerry Frey, the former chief operating officer, has been promoted to president and chief executive officer. Eric Henderson, the former chief executive officer, will now fill the role of executive vice president and chief science officer, a newly created position at the company.
The move is an effort to elevate the company’s focus of developing new products to support its flagship device, the Nano eNabler molecular printer. The reorganization of management is a strategic move to position the company for long-term growth. Mr. Frey’s extensive business and operations expertise will support corporate strategy and growth initiatives, while Mr. Henderson’s role as the new chief scientific officer will allow BioForce to stay on the cutting edge of non-biotechnology research.
Recapping the previous year, BioForce recorded significant growth in the fourth quarter with the majority of sales through the company’s overseas distributors. BioForce currently serves customers on three continents, and has a national sales force actively pursuing business. The company will continue to expand its international distribution network in 2008.
