BIO-key International Inc. develops finger-based biometric identification solutions for commercial and government enterprises. The company will demonstrate its technology, including the recently announced Enterprise Identification Platform for mobile devices and smartphones, at two events next week.
The first showcase is at the 2010 Oracle OpenWorld Conference at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, Calif., from September 19-23. The company will then head to the east coast to exhibit its technology at the 2010 Biometric Consortium Conference at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, Fla., from September 21-23.
At both exhibits BIO-key will demonstrate its latest biometric identification technology, which runs on the LG eXpo Smartphone, Apple iPad and Apple iPhone to remotely, quickly and conveniently establish user identity with BIO-key biometric ID solutions. At Oracle OpenWorld, BIO-key will also highlight its ID Director for Oracle Access Manager identity solutions.
“BIO-key continues to innovate and deliver superior identity solutions. Our enterprise ready biometric ID platform is the perfect solution for application providers and enterprise IT professionals struggling with how to quickly, conveniently and accurately establish the identity of remote users,” Mike DePasquale, CEO of BIO-key stated in the press release. “Our fingerprint biometric identity solutions are secure, convenient and cost effective alternatives that provide organizations with a real competitive advantage that benefits both the end-user and the IT staff responsible for deploying and supporting ID solutions.”
The company’s Biometric Identification Platform utilizes biometrics to establish user identities when an individual logs into enterprise servers from their desktop computer, their laptop at home. And now, the company’s technology offers remote identification using Smartphones. The user swipes a finger to establish their identity, replacing the need for passwords, which the company says is more secure.
