Big Screen Entertainment (BSEG.PK) Set for DVD Release of Thriller “Rule of Three” Before Halloween

Big Screen Entertainment Group announced the release date for its mystery/thriller “Rule of Three” for October 25, 2010, just before Halloween. The award winning film directed by Eric Shapiro will be distributed across the United States on DVD.

The film noir is supported by screenplay writer, Rhoda Jordan (“Aquanoids,” “Never Die Alone” with DMX), and takes place in a sleazy motel room in a plot that weaves back and forth through three periods in time as a grieving father desperately searches for his missing daughter (Jordan). “Rule of Three” premiered in July 2008 at the Fantasia Festival, and had its U.S. premiere in September 2008 at Fantastic Fest. The film has won multiple awards at Shriek Fest and Fantasia Festivals. The cast includes Rodney Eastman, Parry Shen, and scream queen, Tiffany Shepis.

In a brief comment regarding the film and director, Kimberley Kates, CEO of Big Screen Entertainment, stated, “We are pleased to have “Rule of Three” in our growing library of titles. Eric Shapiro has proven himself to be a talented author, if “Rule of Three” is any indication, his career as a director is very promising.”

Big Screen is also working on changing its business strategies to facilitate more growth within the organization. Upon the national release of “Babysitter Wanted” on Big Screen Entertainment’s new DVD/Blu-Ray label through Warner Music Group/ADA, the Company announced that it will be releasing twelve new titles or more in the next eighteen months on DVD/Blu-Ray, PPV/VOD, Cable and numerous other ancillary platforms.

In addition to these releases, according to Kimberley Kates, “The company’s business model has grown from being solely a production company at its inception to a full-fledged distributor and sales agency. We are also adjusting to the ever increasing demands for entertainment in various formats, and have branched out into the gaming industry by partnering with a well-respected video game company in Michigan. Much of BSEG’s operations are being conducted in Michigan due to the beneficial Michigan Film Incentive of 40-42% rebate on film production and distribution costs.”

The plan to release films to a variety of platforms has recently been escalated with the release of “Target Practice” scheduled for November 23rd. Big Screen is also finishing post-production on its new sci-fi/comic/horror film “Sucker,” but completion dates have not yet been released.
