NextPhase Wireless, Inc. (NPHS.OB) is a provider of broadband wireless services to more than 10,000 customers across the US. The company specifically designs, deploys, and operates its WIMAX-ready wireless networks with access in over 175 cities. These networks offer faster speeds and broader coverage than the competition such as Wi-Fi. It is estimated that WiMax and other wireless services will reach 6% of the 500 million mobile wireless customers by 2010.
NextPhase has approval from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to provide WiMAX wireless services in the newly released 3.65 GHz band. The Company has also secured rights to use the fixed wireless spectrum licensed to Nextlink Wireless, Inc. in certain key markets. This will allow NextPhase to deliver wireless broadband services at speeds ranging from 3 Mb/s to 622 Mb/s.
NextPhase Wireless is currently utilizing the experience gained from designing, deploying, and operating its own wireless network. The company plans and is in the works to extend its service to all 48 contiguous US states through acquisitions and strategic partnerships. NextPhase has already acquired Synkrous, Inc. and InterActive Network Systems.
