Axis Technologies Group, Inc. (AXTG.PK) – Cutting Corporate Energy Costs

As most people are aware, fluorescent lighting is widely used all over the world in situations where large areas require adequate illumination. Corporate application of fluorescent technology, however, leaves much to be desired. In offices, warehouses, and retail centers alike, energy costs can reach staggering levels. Axis Technologies offers a product that poses a potential solution to this widespread problem.

They call it the “Daylight Harvesting Ballast”. Ballasts are the components that regulate the voltage passing through lighting fixtures. With Axis’ product, an individual light-sensor is integrated into each fixture, automatically adjusting conditions appropriately based on the amount of natural light present in the room. What this means is that bulbs near windows, and skylights during peak daylight hours, are consuming far less energy than the standard fixture. In fact, these systems have been shown to decrease energy costs by anywhere from 40 to 70 percent.

The ramifications are far-reaching indeed; reducing your energy consumption cuts down the need for additional power-plants, which in turn decreases the emission of harmful pollutants into our precious environment. If only half of the world’s businesses utilized this sort of technology, the resulting ecological (and economical) benefits would be astounding.

Axis Technologies recently announced that it will be taking this patented system to the 2008 Lightfair International Trade Show & Conference, in order to increase awareness on this groundbreaking product. It will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 28th-30th. Given that Lightfair is one of the world’s largest lighting tradeshows, Axis expects its presence to have a lasting effect on the company.

Kip Hirschbach, CEO of Axis Technologies, Inc., said, “This year at Lightfair should prove to be especially noteworthy for Axis because of the world-wide emphasis and interest on becoming ‘green,’ global-warming, and energy efficiency. This is the first year where we will be joined in introducing our ballast to the industry by notable and influential national distributors.” Hirschbach also emphasized, “This burgeoning interest has contributed to Axis sales in 2008 already surpassing all of 2007 sales and we look forward to a banner year in both revenue and profitability.”
