Axial Vector Engine Corporation is a Portland, Oregon based firm that that owns, develops and licenses proprietary intellectual property with unique internal combustion engine technologies. Axial also has a new branch office in the Jebel Ali free zone of Dubai, with the same common goal of applying their patented technologies to develop a new, smaller and lighter internal combustion engine that produces significantly greater horsepower and three times more torque on less fuel than conventional engines of similar size. This engine will meet tough future emission standards and lower fuel costs as prices of oil, gas and natural gas continue to climb.
The applications for smaller engines that are more powerful and fuel efficient are endless. The struggling automotive industry could be revitalized with the practical application of such a product. Several military and industrial applications would benefit, and a rapidly growing industry – power generation – could possibly benefit more than any other. Axial is developing a family of electric power generators incorporating its unique Axial Vector™ technology; the generators will consume less fuel per unit of electrical power output and are considerably smaller than any known internal combustion engine generators. In the past year companies like Cummins, GE and Caterpillar captured a large portion of the market, but more efficient competitors could quickly and easily make up ground.
Axial Vector is not approaching these new ventures alone. Adaptive Propulsion Systems has signed an agreement with Axial Vector to develop military applications. The terms of the agreement are that Adaptive will pay 100% of the development cost of the developmental 7.2 liter multi-fuel engine. Once the development is completed, Adaptive will have the exclusive sales rights to the United States military, NATO militaries and the militaries of the governments of the Gulf Cooperative Council, but will pay Axial Vector a 20% gross sales royalty on all sales under this license. Axial retains sales to all other militaries and civilian applications and all intellectual property and patents. Axial pays Adaptive a 5% gross commission.
The partnership with Adaptive Propulsion could guarantee a large recurring income stream for Axial as they continue to create new sources of revenue. Power generation is very promising, and their sleek, efficient products could easily replace the standard internal combustion engines in any real world application. Boats, trucks and generators would all benefit from the power and efficiency increase with a decrease in net weight and fuel consumption. The versatility of their product lines is enormous, and the company has filed over 10 patents to keep these ideas as their own.
