Axial Vector Energy Corp. (AXVC.PK) is Leading the Way in New Engine Technology

Axial Energy Corporation owns, develops, and licenses revolutionary internal combustion engine and electric power generation technologies for various applications. The company employs its patent-pending “axial flux” engine and generator set technologies to produce highly efficient, cost-effective and environmentally sensitive multi-fuel engines and motors that are scalable across a wide range of settings.

Dr. Karl Hermann created the original linear power transmission design concept during World War II. It was subsequently used by the US Navy as a pneumatic drive in the mk 46 torpedos. Following the war, Dr. Hermann continued his work and was successful in creating an engine that was certified by the FAA – Federal Aviation Administration – for flying light aircraft in 1957. In 2004, Axial Vector Engine acquired the rights to Dr. Hermann’s intellectual property and all engine prototypes.

What is a linear drive engine? In a linear drive engine, there are two opposing pistons in every cylinder. The pistons in their cylinders are uniformly distributed around the circumference of the drive shaft and move back and forth in a smooth linear motion, parallel drive shaft. This is the axial transfer of energy from the pistons and is a balanced configuration. In a standard drive, there is only one piston per cylinder. The cylinders are located on one side and perpendicular to the drive shaft. This results in an unbalanced engine.

Key entry markets for the Axial Vector engine include a number of specific military and industrial applications. The company is also developing a family of electric power generators incorporating its unique Axial Vector technology. The generators will consume less fuel per unit of electrical power output and are considerably smaller than any known internal combustion engine generators.

The company has also done a redesign and material upgrade of one of the original engines designed by Dr. Hermann. It is called the Axial Vector Gas-Cam engine which has marine applications. This engine is at least 50% lighter and about half the size of a regular engine. The engine produces 3.0 ft.-lb. of torque per horsepower versus 1.0 to 1.7 ft.-lb. per horsepower in conventional engines. The torque produced by this engine is powerful enough to eliminate the need for a transmission.

Axial Vector Engines is also working on many other applications for Dr. Hermann’s original technology. These future applications will include designing new electric motors and engines for Detroit.
