Asia Global Holdings Corp., a business builder for China and other emerging regions, announced that Idea Asia Limited, subsidiary of Asia Global Holdings Corp., signed a contract with Zeal Entertainment, an independent formats and events distributor, for exclusive right of the TV show “Singing Bee.” Under the leadership of Mr. Dominique Ullmann, Executive Director of Ida Asia, this marks the first successful contract by the entertainment business unit.
Zeal Entertainment, a subsidiary of Digital Rights Group in the UK, licenses formats, event rights, and programs internationally as well as handles a range of successful shows like the “Singing Bee”, “Miss World”, This Is Your Life”, “Under Construction”, and “The European Poker Tour.”
Dominique Ullmann stated, “We are pleased to secure the exclusive rights or such a quality format. “Singing Bee” has enjoyed a great degree of success worldwide. The show was launched by NBC in the US last year and during summer time it achieved phenomenal ratings with almost every episode reaching #1 in its time slot. China has a huge singing population. In fact, it has possibly the largest Karaoke market in the world, with over 1,000 KTV branches in each major city. We are as a result very confident that “Singing Bee” will be an exceptional format that can generate resonance with the mass population.”
