Artificial Life, Inc. (ALIF.OB) Reports an Amazing 18 Million iPhone Downloads

Artificial Life, www.artificial-life.com – one of the leading names in AI (artificial intelligence) and mobile technology for over a decade, has become focused on mobile content/applications for 3-4G smartphones, like high-quality, 3D interactive, massively multiplayer games. Today the company reported excellent 2010 sales for iPhone™/iPod™/iPad™ titles.

Game downloads as of Sept. 30, 2010, were over 10M, already exceeding all of FY09 results by a full 25%, with 35 produced games (25 based on licensed and branded intellectual property, 10 proprietary) sold globally in 89 countries:

• Distribution by region – 47% North America; 33% Europe and Africa; 15% Asia Pacific; 3% Latin America; 2% Middle East

• Top 5 countries by download – 42% US; 10% UK; 5% France, Canada, Germany

Some really amazing statistics when you consider that the top three titles had 4.7M, 2.2M and 2.1M downloads each, and that the average download per game was roughly 0.53M.

With paid iPhone games selling in the USD $0.99-4.99 range (USD $2.05 average), with all of the new releases achieving Top 100 or higher download rankings by category, and with ALIF games hitting #1 on Apple App Store Top Charts in 70 countries around the world, the Company is in a very good position to generate continued income for its shareholders.

Solid iPad market penetration, led by titles like Linkin Park, 8-Bit Rebellion! (iPad Edition; US Top 20 Paid Music Apps since its release five months ago), and other games holding Top 50 slots for months after their releases further underwrites ALIF’s foothold in the sector.

Participation television, business apps and the OPUS-M mobile commerce technology platform further extend ALIF’s overall footprint, leading to amazing developments like the first iPhone healthcare app, GluCoMo™, which helps diabetics with coaching and monitoring.

CEO of ALIF, Eberhard Schoneburg, expressed great excitement over the data from the first nine months of 2010 and attributed a great deal of the success to the quality of the games being offered.

Schoneburg reaffirmed the Company’s commitment to offering the best in high-quality games and business apps moving forward, and pledged to continue to support all major mobile phone operating systems and platforms as well.
