Art Technology Group, Inc. (ARTG) announced that the company has extended the deadline for contestants to enter the first ATG e-Commerce Ingenuity Business Plan Competition; all submissions must be submitted on or before Thursday, February 14, 2008. Entrants that have already submitted a plan can use this extension to resubmit material if they so desire.
Examples of encouraged submission concepts could include:
• New e-technology solutions
• New solutions for creating loyal consumers
• Visionary user-interface developments
The first place winner will receive a prize of $50,000 in cash. A “People’s Choice” winner will receive $10,000 in cash as a result of a public vote on the company’s blog, “e-Commerce Insights.” This blog can be located by accessing http://www.ecommerceinsights.com.
Drew Reynolds, senior vice president of corporate development, stated, “We have been quite pleased with the response from the e-commerce community and we’re excited to report that innovative business plans are being submitted daily. ATG has received a variety of requests for an extended deadline from entrepreneurs, students and companies eager to participate and we decided to accommodate these requests.”
