Anywhere MD, Inc.’s (ANWM.PK) ComedyNet Adopts High-Def Programming

ComedyNet announced that, after today, all new program content will be recorded in high definition. This is an integral step toward realizing its primary objective of becoming a full-time HDTV channel.

The change will most likely take effect with the company’s most successful program, Club ComedyNet, which is scheduled to resume production this week. It is a stand-up comedy series, which – through utilization of integrated technologies – affords potential sponsors the ability to embed their logos and ads directly into the programming.

Jocelyn Bayle, head of the network’s affiliate sales explains: “The idea is to allow for the content and its sponsor message to travel together wherever the programming is distributed, which includes all of ComedyNet’s web syndication outlets as well as more than 16 million Free-On-Demand cable homes.”

The quality upgrade is being facilitated by Ethan Sigman of EZS Productions. ComedyNet has expressed its excitement at having such an experienced production coordinator join the team. In the past, Ethan has worked with such well-known names as the New York Mets, Yankees, and Knicks, in addition to providing services for Donald Trump. This new addition gives ComedyNet a keen advantage in ultimately becoming a serious competitor in the little-contested arena of comedy on TV. Look out Comedy Central, there’s a new kid in town!
