Advanced Materials Group (ADMG.OB) to Pull Up its Nundies

Industrial micromagnate Advanced Materials Group Inc. (OTCBB: ADMG) (AMI) recently hinted to Market News First about its plans for its most popular and best-selling product, the Nundies.According to the company’s Web site, Nundies are a “new, fashion-solution product that promises to liberate women from the age-old constraints of femininity.” Based on the same self-adhering product technology used for diet patches and wound covers, Nundies are a one-time use, disposable “panty” that adheres to the inseam inside of a woman’s pants. While the Nundies have already received a small amount of attention from the mass media, AMI is hoping to kick that attention up a notch with a series of advertising promos.

“We’re in the process of launching an advertising campaign with this,” Advanced Materials CFO William Mortensen said in a recent interview. “We’re going through lots of choices right now and ideas with PR firms and creative agencies – we’re seeing when we can take this to the next level.”

Even without the new advertising going on, the company’s Nundies line of products is still doing exceptionally well.

“We’ve signed up over 100 stories that are carrying the product,” Mortensen said. “We’re getting several reorders of the product – which is a good sign – and we’re constantly looking at ways we can improve our products.

“This is all part of our master plan … things are on schedule,” Mortensen added.

Of course, AFI isn’t just interested in producing Nundies. The company embraces a number of different products, ranging from die-cut foam products, to heat- and sonic-sealed products, to pressure sensitive adhesive products. And it’s looking to expand.

“Our core business is actually doing quite well,” Mortensen said. “We are rapidly pursuing other product opportunities out there.”

Although Mortensen couldn’t talk about any specific product opportunities the company will be pursuing, he did say that investors should keep an eye on AMI over the next year or so.

Still, it’s the Nundies that are receiving most of the attention right now. In fact, the product was recently featured on motleyfool.com.

“It’s kind of interesting – they put a quote out there about Nundies,” Mortensen said. “They said that ‘it’s a product put out by a smaller company, and they said these are the kinds of companies you need to be watching.’ Companies like ours … we are very nimble and lean and can react very fast to the changing market and in new products, and that’s what you want in today’s world.”
