Actiga Corporation has announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Qmotions, has entered into a North American licensing agreement with Microsoft. The details of the agreement allow Qmotions to utilize Microsoft’s Xbox 360 wireless technology in its own videogame controllers. It is a technology that has rendered traditional ‘wired’ gaming devices virtually obsolete.
Qmotions hopes to cash in on this fairly recent trend by releasing a range of related products that will receive official endorsement from Microsoft. The first of these new items is scheduled to appear later this year in the form of a full-sized skateboard controller for use with popular skating titles.
Chairman and CEO Amro Albanna expressed his enthusiasm for the new development in this statement: “This is a milestone event for our company that now enables us to design, develop and market a unique
range of wireless products, bringing the excitement of action gaming to a whole new level on the Xbox 360 system.”
The Xbox 360 is currently the most popular gaming platform in an 18 billion dollar industry, giving rise to the notion that Qmotions stands to gain considerable recognition from this venture.
