Earlier in the week Raul Biancardi was nominated to Fund.com’s board of directors. The company was pleased to announce today that Mr. Biancardi has accepted his nomination and has been appointed to the board of directors, effective immediately. This announcement comes on the heels of Greg Webster’s appointment as President, and the January announcement of Ray Lang as the company’s CEO.
Ray Lang commented on the appointment by saying, “We are gratified that Raul has accepted this position and are enthusiastic about his contributions to our board of directors especially in light of his professional accomplishments in our industry at top-tier institutions.” Lang’s enthusiasm is justified by the fact that Biancardi brings over 15 years of financial expertise.
Raul Biancardi has been working in finance since 1993 when he served as Head of Emerging Markets Equities for Morgan Stanley International. In 1998 he joined Lehman Brothers International where he served for eight years in various senior roles including Deputy Head of European Research, Head of Wealth and Asset Management, and Head of Fixed Income Prime Brokerage. He is currently the Chief Operating Officer at a leading Middle Eastern investment bank.
With Biancardi onboard, the company can focus on continuing efforts as a financial services information publisher focused on the $22.6 trillion investment fund market. They are still in the process of establishing a destination website of personal finance channels, including mutual funds, hedge funds, money market funds, exchange traded funds, closed end funds, commodity funds and other types of pooled investment vehicles. Their goal is to provide investment information on both traditional and leading edge products to a new generation of investors. Ultimately as the intermediary they intend to generate pay-for-performance online advertising revenue by connecting motivated investors with financial product providers.
