Nationally accredited online postsecondary education company and founders of Aspen University, Aspen Group, announced the appointment of Dr. Cheri St. Arnauld as Chief Academic Officer.
In this position, St. Arnauld is set to be responsible for leading the entire range of academic services, of which include the University’s academic and assessment system, instruction, curriculum development, faculty development, and overall compliance.
“Dr. St. Arnauld’s experience and track record of leading academics at online for-profit universities is second to none. Our students will be the key benefactor of this appointment, as she will demand continuous improvements in student outcomes and push the envelope with regard to advanced learning technologies and curriculum design,” commented Chairman & CEO of Aspen Group, Inc., Michael Mathews.
St. Arnauld has more than 30 years of experience in education to her credit, ensuring both excellent curriculum and quality learning for students. Most recently, St. Arnauld spent five years at Grand Canyon University as their Provost, Chief Academic Officer. It was there that she led the university through the creation of academic support systems and three new colleges, including the College of Doctoral Studies.

In addition, Dr. Gerald Williams, Academic President of Aspen University, announced his retirement effective as of March 31, 2014. Dr. Williams has been named President Emeritus and will remain as a consultant through June, 2014.
