Hipcricket, formerly Augme Technologies, is a mobile advertising and marketing company. HIPP Tuesday said it is collaborating with Mondelēz International and Google (GOOG) as part of a previously announced mobile-only media deal to design and build a series of consumer-focused, mobile-optimized websites for several Mondelēz International brands, including Chips Ahoy!, Oreo, Wheat Thins, Milka, and Tassimo.
To best connect Mondelēz International brands to the mobile consumer, HIPP will build out mobile-optimized website templates that in completion will serve as post-click consumer destinations for Mondelēz International’s global mobile advertising campaign, which will feature Google search and display ads. Each site can be customized for brand-specific product information and other features such as social sharing.
The websites span six continents and are developed in more than 10 different languages; each site is designed to be indigenous to the consumer’s country, language and handset.
“We are truly impressed by Hipcricket’s mobile-first approach, customer service and mobile expertise,” Ed Kaczmarek, director of innovation and emerging technology at Mondelēz International, said via news release. “Hipcricket offered a superior solution that will help us create engaging mobile sites for our brands around the world.”
Doug Stovall, HIPP COO, said the overarching goal is to provide customers an easy to use mobile platform.
“Our overall objective is to provide a mobile-first customer experience,” Stovall stated in the press release. “Mobile is a perfect platform for a consumer package goods company like Mondelēz International. Mobile is a critical component on the path to purchase. By building these mobile websites in native languages and having them optimized with handsets popular in that geographic location, Hipcricket is helping a global company expand more deeply into international markets.”
