Guyana Gold Corp (GYGC.PK) located in Reno, NV, recently announced the completion of its name change from World Mobile Network Corp, on January 15, 2008, to match the company’s changing business model. Heading the newly named corporation is Eduard Aronov, who was appointed the President effective February 21, 2008.
Aronov has been involved in the mineral exploration, geology, consulting, mine operations, and corporate business development in the Guyana region since March 2000. Aronov also brings a broad base of experience in international finance, investment banking, and natural resource financing.
“I couldn’t be more excited to join such a dynamic and innovative company as Guyana Gold Corp. As President of Guyana Gold Corp., my primary directive will be to steer the company towards reaching its production and management objectives,” stated Aronov.
Since his appointment, Aronov has already made strides in moving Guyana Gold towards its goal. On March 1, 2008, Guyana entered into a Joint Venture Agreement with Octagon Mining Corp for a 50 percent working interest in specific mineral projects in Guyana. Octagon will be responsible for the mining operations with Guyana, providing his operational expertise.
