MedeFile, a business-to-business and business-to-consumer subscription service, provides a lifetime online record of members’ medical records. This service retrieves and consolidates copies of members’ medical records into a single medically correct format. All records are stored in MedeFile’s MedeVault, which is secured through SecuroMed, and can be accessed online 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The unique security feature of the MedeFile system only allows the member to give permission to access their records.
As part of the MedeFile service, each member is provided with a MedeDrive, an external USB drive that contains all of the member’s emergency medical information and their medical records as well as a digital health profile, which is an overview of the member’s and their family’s medical history. This form is completed by the member in order to provide a summary of their health care history to assist providers regarding medical treatment options.
Medefile CIS, a business-to-business professional consulting service, is designed to generate revenue from product commissions and consulting engagements. This service will offer a full range of HIPPA assessment and compliance services. In addition, Medefile CIS intends to offer services that will enable medical facilities to transition from paper-based medical records to electronic medical records. On the consulting side, Medefile CIS will offer record keeping, security and back office evaluations, along with recommendations and remediation plans for the client.
