Bond Laboratories, Inc., a manufacturer of functional beverages and nutritional products, has been announcing regular expansions throughout the second half of 2010, resulting in increased sales of their beverages. The Company produces and markets products through its NDS Nutrition and Fusion Premium Beverages divisions and has over 60 brands of energy, sports, and dietary supplements.
The most recent expansion announcement detailed distribution in the Minneapolis, MN markets. Bond Labs, Resurrection™ Anti-Hangover Drink (“REX”), has been gaining momentum within the market, and now through this distribution agreement will begin hitting the shelves at Cub Foods, a large Midwestern supermarket chain that is part of the SUPERVALU® family of stores. While the roll-out is starting small (initially being sold at 6 Cub Food Stores in Minneapolis), the SUPERVALU® organization operates more than 2,500 stores in total.
Further expanding on household names that carry Bond’s products, the Company also announced that the number of GNC® franchise locations now selling NDS products has grown to 515 stores, up from 380 at the beginning of 2010 which represents an increase of approximately 33%. The pace at which more stores are carrying the products is promising as GNC has more than 7,100 locations, of which more than 5,500 retail locations are in the United States (as of June 30, 2010).
That announcement piggy-backs news that that the NDS Nutrition Products, Inc. division expanded its stocking and warehousing relationship with the nation’s leading nutritional supplement retailer. With that, NDS products are now inventoried through a warehousing agreement that provides uninterrupted supply to over 900 franchise locations nationwide.
As a result of the demand and subsequent expansion of Bond’s beverages, sales are steadily increasing. August sales from its NDS Nutrition division increased 35% to $578,961 as compared to $429,213 reported in August of 2009. For this last month, the Company reported that the NDS Nutrition division increased revenue for the month ended September 2010 by 33%, from approximately $496,000 to $660,000, as compared to September the year before. NDS expects total revenue of approximately $1.9 million for the three months ended September 30, 2010, a 27% increase over revenue of approximately $1.5 million for the same period in 2009.
John S. Wilson, CEO of Bond Labs, stated, “NDS has exceeded our expectations in terms of adding new customers and securing repeat orders. We have added 135 additional GNC franchise locations since the beginning of the year, a 35% increase, which is a testament to our staff’s hard work and dedication. This growing retail network provides the premium shelf space to reach our defined markets nationwide.” Mr. Wilson continued, “GNC corporate continues to be very supportive of bringing our products to market. Over the past few months, we have officially launched the dietary supplements Embrace™ and N-Test 600™. These products quickly sold out, and we are now filling repeat orders to replenish inventories at GNC stores. We anticipate this upward growth trend to continue in the third quarter.”
The successes of Bond Labs and its products may just be starting. The GNC relationship is strong and has plenty of room for growth. REZ is just getting rolling at this point, but it appears that it is being received with welcome arms from the public as it has been featured at some of the most upscale venues in New York City recently.
