Latin Television is building a following of young Hispanic adults in the U.S. by offering a variety of Spanish entertainment programs, movies, sports and news. Through original programming and entertainment targeting the large Hispanic audience, the Company is helping to change the perceptions of Hispanic-Americans concerning Latin television and entertainment.
The U.S. Census Bureau estimates that Hispanics will represent about 18% of the United States’ total population by 2020, versus 13% in 2000. This statistic confirms the shift in the ethnic makeup of the US. Furthermore, Hispanics are expected to account for more than $1 trillion in US disposable income (9.7% of the US total) by 2010, outpacing expected growth in total US disposable income.
The Research Bureau’s Senior Analyst closed the report stating, “Our Speculative Buy rating and $3.00 price target reflect the strong growth opportunities connected with Hispanic programming and the Hispanic advertising market. We think LTVS has a smart business strategy focusing on original programming (including extensive sports programming and coverage of Mexican soccer and wresting), strong partnerships to drive advertising sales and a cost-effective distribution approach.”
