Gulf Ethanol Corp. (GFET.OB) announced that the company has board approval for continuing negations with Meridian Biorefining Corporation of Dallas, Texas. Meridian Biorefining is focused on developing advanced processing equipment and biofuels refining equipment for primary and downstream processing.
JT Cloud, Gulf Ethanol’s President, stated, “The long term success of ethanol as an alternative fuel must be based on the development of efficient non-food sources for ethanol production.”
Chet Gutowski, an independent analyst stated, “Gulf Ethanol is an emerging player in the rapidly expanding ethanol industry. Government mandates and general acceptance by the transportation industry are expected to support strong growth in the industry for many years.”
