Cord Blood America is discovering ways to use stem cells to save lives internationally. Today they sent a press release announcing that the White House will be backing legislation which will provide funding for stem-cell research.
The CEO of Cord Blood America stated it is important to increase the knowledge of stem cells in order to combat some of the most dangerous and difficult diseases. He continued to say, “umbilical cord blood stem cells are already used to treat more than 70 major diseases, including leukemia, metabolic blood disorders and immune deficiencies.”
The umbilical cord blood stem cells that Cord Blood America collects and preserves are not controversial, but it is important for the entire stem cell sector to move forward, without legislation that cripples research. The company is encouraged that the White House can find compromises so medical research can advance.
