Today, ValCom announced that through its subsidiary division MyFamilyTV the company is entering into a joint venture with PorchLight Entertainment, one of the world’s leading independent suppliers of high quality entertainment, to launch a new children’s programming block called KidMango.
KidMango will feature PorchLight’s award-winning children’s programming. A specialist in children’s and family programming, PorchLight has produced approximately 400 episodes of high quality animation, 40+ live action movies, and has a library of more than 1,500 episodes of children’s programming, all of which contribute to its reputation as being one of “the most trusted names in family entertainment.”
ValCom, Inc. President, Vincent Vellardita, stated, “KidMango is precisely what American families need as a safe haven for their children. The programming will be educational, enlightening and entertaining. Parents will not have to worry about what their children are being exposed to.”
“Since the recent conversion of MyFamilyTV, the network has grown significantly. MyFamilyTV is carefully selecting programming content that appeals to the family audience and contributes to the theme of the network. In addition to the KidMango block, MyFamilyTV will also be airing regular prime-time specials and family films under the banner of PorchLight Family Theater. There just isn’t any venue on American television where young kids can find great family movies. MyFamilyTV offers parents and kids a whole new venue for great family entertainment,” Vellardita added.
“We are excited to be part of MyFamilyTV,” commented Bruce Johnson, PorchLight’s President and CEO. “KidMango will offer high quality, empowering programming with a positive slant. And, kids will be able to immediately connect online at KidMango.com for additional interactive content.”
