Raven Biofuels International Corporation (RVBF.OB), a leading producer and distributor of high-quality fuel-grade cellulosic ethanol, recently announced its intention to commence at least two refinery projects in the United States and the possibility of an additional project in Canada before year end. The company is planning to build out 100 million gallons of production over the next five years.
Raven Biofuels International Corporation was formed in late 2007 to address the global demand for clean and renewable energy with a focus on high quality fuel-grade cellulosic ethanol. The company’s first biorefineries will initially have the production capacity of 10 million gallons per year, translating into a projected cost of less than $1.00 per gallon. Ethanol made from biomass could cut greenhouse gases significantly. In fact, several recent studies conclude that cellulosic biofuels reduce greenhouse gases by more than 80 percent.
Numerous companies have attempted to produce ethanol from cellulosic (non-corn) waste feedstocks over the past decade; however, Raven Biofuels International has a proven technology that can successfully produce fuel-grade ethanol in mass quantities. Considering the company’s aggressive acquisition strategy, international growth initiatives and continuous funding efforts, Raven Biofuels International is well positioned for growth in the more evolved second wave of biofuel (cellulosic) companies.
