WisdomTree Investments, Inc. and The Dreyfus Corporation, a BNY Mellon Asset Management Company, has established several new ETFs (Exchange-Traded Fund) to be listed on the NYSE Arca. WisdomTree Dreyfus Currency Income ETFs will be listed effective today, Wednesday May 14th. The WisdomTree Dreyfus Japanese Yen Fund will follow and be list on or after Friday, May 16th.
By issuing these funds, the companies will seek to earn current income reflective of money market rates available to U.S. investors in the specified country or region, as well seek to provide exposure to changes in the value of a designated non-U.S. currency relative to the U.S. dollar.
Both companies want to make sure investors are aware that there are risks associated with investing, including possible loss of principal. In addition to the normal risks of investing, foreign investing involves special risks, such as risk of loss from currency fluctuation or political or economic uncertainty. For a full disclosure, please refer to the fund’s prospectus and other information available at Wisdomtree’s website.
As of May 2008, WisdomTree Trust has approximately $4.7 billion assets under management and The Dreyfus Corporation and its subsidiaries currently manage more than $280 billion in mutual funds, separately managed accounts, and institutional portfolios.
