Unemployment Rate Falls, yet Outlook still Grim

The outlook for jobs became a bit less bleak Friday after the government released January's unemployment rate showing an unexpected decline from 10 percent to 9.7 percent, the first drop in seven months. Unitil Corp. (UTL) Reports Decline in Net Income

Unitil Corp. reported net income of $1.2 million, or $0.11 per share, in the fourth quarter of 2009, down significantly from the $3.2 million, or $0.53 per share, reported for the same quarter of 2008.
